Chef Terrell is the proud owner and operator of Gullah Fish and Shrimp, a mobile seafood kitchen rooted in the rich culinary and cultural traditions of the Gullah Geechee heritage. Born and raised in Brunswick, Georgia—at the heart of Coastal Georgia’s Golden Isles and a vital region of the federally designated Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor—Chef Terrell developed a deep connection to this culture through time spent as a child on Sapelo Island, where he was immersed in its traditions, rhythms, and way of life.
His passion for seafood and community service is a living tribute to his late grandfather, Captain Earl White, a revered commercial fisherman who spent over fifty years navigating the Southeastern waters. Captain White’s enduring legacy of hard work, family devotion, and respect for the sea continues to inspire Chef Terrell’s mission to share authentic, high-quality coastal cuisine.
With nearly six years of experience operating his fully equipped food trailer, Chef Terrell has become known for his signature shrimp burgers, red snapper dinners, and house-made seasoning blends that echo the flavors of the Atlantic coast. He has proudly served organizations such as the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Department, community festivals, political campaigns, and public events—committed to uplifting the community one plate at a time. Through Gullah Fish and Shrimp, Chef Terrell honors the past while building a flavorful future for generations to come.
